Definitely a different take on the Christmas classic. After hearing the “traditional” version all one’s life, including the great duet with Bing Crosby and David Bowie, I thought about how the story takes place in the Middle East and that it seemed illogical to have a Western-style snare drum through it. Rather instruments that had their origins in the Middle East. Hence this production.
